hen we decided to build a waterfront cabin community, we knew that the one thing that makes a cabin a cabin is that wonderful cozy feeling--reminiscent of spending quality time together as a family at your grandparents' summer cabin.

We weren't trying to design

mountain palaces, because that would lose the whole purpose of having a cabin in the mountains, yet realistically every cabin had to be built with all of the modern conveniences of home.

In order to get inspiration for our designs, we looked not to the log cabins of yesteryear--because most of us don't want to live in one room with our entire family, while cooking and heating the house with the same appliance, and bathing everyone--one right after the other--in the middle of the room. Guaranteed, that's rustic, but not what most of us are longing to get away to.

To create spacious interiors with real usability, while maintaining a compact footprint to minimize our disturbance to the incredible natural beauty of the property, we studied the designs of yachts and motorcoaches. Both of these "homes" away from home, have an elegance and usability despite their limited sizes. Both were designed, not as permanent homes, but as luxurious second homes with every imaginable amenity and extreme attention to detail. We hope that you'll find Edgewater's cabins to meet or exceed your ideas of what a cabin in the mountains ought to be.

Our newly desingedc, larger cabins are approximately 1600 square feet, with 9-foot ceilings on the main floor, and cathedral ceilings upstairs, plenty of outdoor entertaining areas, breathtaking views, and ample storage for a weekend getaway. Edgewater cabins are the ideal mountain retreat.

You can select from our two or three bedroom floor plans, each with either 2 1/2 or 3 bathrooms. Most sleeping areas are designed as suites, with each bedroom having its own adjacent bathroom, and one with a covered balcony.

All of our standard cabins are priced identically, so choose the one that best suits your lifestyle. The price differentiations are solely based on the lot. So, choose your lot, select your floor plan, and pick your options. It's that simple.
